The game returns home this week.

The Open Championship has been played since 1860, carrying forward the traditions of a game born along the Scottish coast. Long before golf became what it is today, it was shaped by the elements: wind, land, patience, and creativity.

That is the heritage. The rest is how we choose to carry it forward.

Earlier this year, we traveled to Scotland to experience the game where it began. Walking those grounds was not about looking backward. It was about understanding what has endured.

The trip served as both inspiration for what is ahead and confirmation of the path we have chosen: a return to timeless design, natural fabrics, thoughtful details, and clothing made for golfers who appreciate the traditions of the game.

Gresham Reed was born in the American South. Our Pima cotton is woven and finished in Peru. But our foundation is rooted in the same principles that have defined the game for generations: simplicity, quality, and respect for tradition. We did not invent those values. We simply choose to honor them.

We chose Pima over polyester. We chose a structured collar over one that loses its shape. We chose colors inspired by the landscapes of golf, not by passing trends.

Small choices, stacked together, become something bigger.

Heritage is the easiest word in marketing and the hardest one to earn. Anyone can say it. Very few can show it.
